Part 1- Essay (50 points)

Suppose your instructor has just informed you that you need to prepare a speech to deliver to a group of approximately 40 individuals.  Unfortunately, the only information you know about this group is that the individuals are readers of (Your choice of one of the following: Rolling Stone, Good Housekeeping, All You, Teen Vogue, PC World, National Geographic or Field & Stream) Magazine.  Relying on your knowledge of audience analysis, intelligent inferences, and reasonable assumptions, develop an audience profile that summarizes the most relevant demographic and attitudinal data.  Finally, what two potential topics might this group be interested in hearing about? (Should be about 3 College Length Paragraphs Long)

Part 2- Outline (50 points)

Select one of the two potential topics from your essay above.  Construct an outline using the format given in class to develop a speech on that topic (research not necessary - looking for the logical progression of ideas through the main points you select to support the thesis).
