16-U4D1 - How to Engage Citizens in Collaboration
Engaging Individual Citizens
Once you have identified the correct people to participate in your collaboration, it is important to get them involved and keep them involved. Perhaps the hardest to engage on a long-term basis are individual citizens who have no direct reward or incentive for participation. Consider the community collaboration case you are using for your assignment.
Using only the individual citizens that you would like to have involved, describe how you would engage them. Consider and address the following:
- How would you clarify the rewards and benefits to these individuals?
- How would you describe their role in the collaboration?
- What questions they might ask you and how would you respond to their questions?
