Guided Response: First review several of your classmate’s posts. Respond to two classmates who chose to summarize the topics that you did not and answer the questions they created. After posting the responses to their questions, summarize what information was solidified as a result of their questioning strategy. Most importantly, offer suggestions that will help your classmates to more effectively cover any information that should be stressed about the topic they summarized.
Scaffolding definition is refer to the ways in which an appropriate level of support is provided for learners to help move them toward independence. This help the students achieve their goal in learning.Ell's students can learn from using their ideas to visualize the story. There are so many strategies to use in scaffolding for teachers and students to learn and be successful.
Scaffolding is activities that teachers use material and technologies for students learning .Technology can help children learn by using different audio."Making deliberate comparisons with the first language and culture".(Piper,2015)The teacher can ask questions or let the children ask questions about the story. They can use visuals, diagrams, organizers for learning.
Scaffolding is when teacher model or show a image of a problem.First a teacher begins teaching at the level at which students understand, and then she build on that understanding by observing the students to see what they know. She repeats this process two or more times asking questions of the students along the way. Some students can learn fast and there are other that need special help.
My five questions about my topic:
1.Is it best to use scaffolding at the beginning of the year?
2.What make you think that scaffolding is the right strategy for the classroom
3. Do you think that scaffolding is good for the classroom when you have a student from another culture? Why?
4.Do scaffolding help Ell's students that's learning a second language and not use to there surrounding?
5.Why is it important to use scaffolding for ELL's study in learning to read?
