Breach of Duty

Note that negligence is the primary cause of civil action that health care providers face. Whether it's a general liability or professional liability claim, four elements need to be proven by the claimant. They include:

1. Duty.
2. Breach of duty.
3. Cause of injury.
4. Damages suffered.

Give an example of each element discussing how one element could lead to the other. For example, how could a duty to care translate into a breach of duty, then to an injury, finally leading to damages?
