Part I - Research Report & Presentation

In order to illustrate the relationship and synergy between your current status as a student and your future career choices, your final presentation should attempt to influence and convince your fellow students of the importance of staying informed with major life-impacting issues.

Your report will be presented to the class in the form of a PowerPoint presentation (other presentation software such as Prezi or Flash is acceptable, but instructor must be able to access material), and subsequently will be posted to ecompanion/ PRI/ project dropbox . In addition, you will submit a written three page summary of your report along with a cover sheet, bibliography and/or works cited page. The report must be placed in a presentation folder before submission.

Final Deliverables:

1. PowerPoint Presentation - Your presentation will outline the topic chosen including development and support information.

2. A typed three page summary of your report, a brief restatement of your final position, and a separate page listing all verifiable sources used in your final presentation. Proper citations and formats for research apply.

3. All elements are to be put into a presentation folder. Elements include: Cover page; written summary; works cited page.

Topic:

How the social media, like instagram, twitter, facebook, etc, influences the designers for their advertisements?

Requirements:

1. Presentations are due on the scheduled date regardless of your class presentation date.

2. “Works Cited” or “References” must be included in the written format. All sources of information are to be cited according to APA, MLA format or other recognized styles. Material available at the AiMIU Library and in the Bedford Handbook.

3. Failure to follow instructions fully may result in a failing grade. Please ask the instructor for assistance if there are any questions before the project deadline date.

4. Final projects are to be submitted on the syllabus deadline, and at the beginning of the regularly scheduled class time. It’s the student’s responsibility to ensure that the project is delivered to the instructor on time. Failure of delivery due to delegation to another student or person is not an acceptable excuse. Late projects will receive a major grade 20% deduction (Late one day); failing grade (late two days); zero after two days. In the event of an unexpected absence or emergency, students are responsible to inform the instructor before the class or as quickly as possible, and an email must be sent a.s.a.p. with the project attached. Verification of the emergency will also be required. (Any deviation from this policy will be extremely rare and at the discretion of the instructor).

5. Students must be on time for all presentations. Failure to fully participate in the entire project and presentation process may result in a major grade reduction. (-10% of project grade)
