Should the organization identify the "typical" characteristics of its current targeted market segment – or should the organization try to identify additional potential market segments? Will push or pull be the most effective strategy? The organization must take these factors as well as their budget and desired message into account when designing the strategy. It is important to get it right . . . or enormous amounts of resources including dollars and people will have been wasted without appreciable sales or market share.
