Here's the assignment I gave the class yesterday on Thursday.  1000 words, double-spaced, and due in class on Tuesday, Feb. 19.

On pp. 758-59 of your textbook is another of the "Zooming In" features.  In light of what you read in Chapter 17 about the Industrial Revolution and in the excerpt from Marx about its disruption of traditional forms of labor, respond to the two questions -- in essay form -- that the authors pose at the end of the section.
