With regards to Baumrind's parenting patterns discussed in chapter 6 of the text.... what do we know about how parenting styles affect student performance in school? Which parenting styles are associated with better or worse outcomes (use several details from the text)? Also, how would you describe either (a) the parenting style in your own nuclear family when you were growing up, or (b) the parenting style that best describes the style you use with your own children, or (c) the parenting style you would choose or propose to use when raising children and why.
