In this assessment, you will develop a plan to engage community involvement as part of an effort to improve instructional outcomes. You will consider the needs of your community, the current level of engagement, and practical ways to foster relationships among all stakeholders.

• Describe the community and population served. Address demographic information, such as socioeconomic status, family composition, cultural diversity, and level of education. 
• Summarize the current nature of community engagement regarding institutional outcomes. 
• Summarize three critical institutional outcomes that need to be addressed. Address outcomes such as reading proficiency, attendance rates, graduation rates, percentage of graduates attending post-secondary education, and student pregnancy rates.
• Describe ways the community could contribute to the improvement of critical outcomes. 
• Recommend strategies for community engagement by instructional staff. 
• Recommend leadership practices for supporting instructional staff with community engagement.
