Research Detective: Uncovering the Secrets of Peer-Reviewed Research Articles

The objective of this assignment is to develop your critical thinking skills, research analysis abilities, and presentation skills. You will analyze and present a peer-reviewed research article of your choice.

Article Selection and Analysis

· Select a peer-reviewed research article involving a topic that interests you. The article should have a minimum of 10 pages and must have been published within the last 5 years.

· Critically analyze your chosen article by describing the research question, methodology, data analysis, results, and conclusion. Identify the strengths and weaknesses of the research in a minimum 2-page paper.

Poster Design and Deliberation

· Next, create a visually engaging and informative digital research poster summarizing the key aspects of the article you selected.

· Sections to be included in the poster are:

· Research Question,

· Methodology,

· Key Findings,

· Strengths,

· Weaknesses, and

· your own critique.

· This  Poster Example document provides guidance for creating your poster, but you are encouraged to use your creativity to design an original poster that reflects how you want your information to look rather than just being a copy of the example.

· You can use PowerPoint or Word to create your poster, or you can search online for other free software options.

Title: Start with a clear and eye-catching title at the top of the poster. Use a large, bold font to make it easily readable from a distance. The title should reflect the main topic of your research.

Research Question: Create a section that clearly states the research question or

objective of the chosen article. Use a concise statement to convey this.

Key Findings: Use this section to summarize the main findings of the article. You can use bullet

points, graphs, charts, or images to visually represent the key findings.

Methodology: Describe the research methodology used in the article. Highlight

the key methods, data collection techniques,

and any unique approaches that were

employed.Strengths: Highlight the strengths of the chosen article's

research design or methodology. This could include the use of a large sample size, rigorous data

analysis, or innovative research techniques.

Add Weaknesses: Discuss the weaknesses or

limitations of the article. Be objective in your

assessment and mention any potential biases or

areas where the research could have been

Introduction: Below the title, include a brief introduction that

provides context for your research. Explain why the topic is important and what motivated your choice of

the article.

Your Critique: Share your own critique of the article. Discuss your perspective on the strengths and weaknesses you identified.

Offer constructive feedback and insights into how the research could be extended or improved.

Conclusion: Wrap up the poster with a brief conclusion that summarizes the key takeaways from the article and your

critique.

References:Include a section for references where you list the article you selected and any other sources you may have

consulted.
