If you were a business owner and you hired a general contractor to perform a major construction project, how would you feel about that general contractor hiring 10 different subcontractors to complete the project? Would you feel like the vision for the project will get convoluted when the general contractor explains it to the subcontractors? Do you feel as if there is less control over areas such as safety, quality, and productivity? With the potential for the safety standards to get less stringent, do you believe that you (the business owner) are now more at risk if an accident did happen?
