Many people feel vulnerable when they are sick. Sometimes, they do not want to talk to their healthcare provider about their health or to share too much information with their healthcare provider because they feel that it will be available or shared with others. However, patients who trust their health system to protect their data will likely receive better outcomes because they are more willing to share the details that the provider needs to make an accurate diagnosis and support a treatment plan.
You are working as a medical administrative assistant in a private internal medicine practice. You are charged to work with the office manager and healthcare providers on implementing an electronic health record (EHR).
