OverviewIn this activity, you will listen to one of the podcast episodes listed under Required Reading/Listening and create a visually engaging digital product using Canva to summarize and analyze its content. This assignment challenges you to think critically about spoken media while presenting your insights in a polished, professional format.InstructionsUsing a Canva template of your choice (poster, infographic, or presentation, etc.), build a digital product that includes all of the following required elements:
- Podcast & Episode Identification — Clearly display the full title of the podcast and the specific episode title. Include the host's name and the episode's release date.
- Episode Overview — Provide a brief summary (3–5 sentences) of the episode, capturing the main topic, key guests or speakers, and the central message or purpose of the discussion.
- Episode Analysis — Analyze the episode using the following lenses:
- Main Argument or Thesis — What is the episode's central claim or purpose? What is the host or guest trying to convey?
- Evidence & Support — What facts, stories, statistics, or examples are used to support the main points?
- Tone & Audience — How would you describe the tone of the episode? Who is the intended audience, and how does the content speak to them?
- Personal Reflection — What did you find most compelling or thought-provoking? How does the episode connect to course themes or your own experiences?
Canva Requirements
- Use a pre-made Canva template as your starting point
- Customize colors, fonts, and layout to reflect the tone or subject of your chosen episode
- Design must be clean, readable, and visually cohesive
- Export and submit your final product as a PDF or shareable Canva link
