Summary---2 pages

Find a useful, substantive article about any of the plays or playwrights or concepts we’re discussing in this class.  You can either choose one from the “Useful Articles” page in our Drexel Learn class, or you can use the databases in the Electronic Resources section of the Hagerty Library web site to find a scholarly article (not a web site, course guide, newspaper article, magazine article, review, interview, short opinion piece, or brief article from The Explicator). (If you want to choose your own article, please check with me.) Then, summarize the source in no more than two pages.  Turn in the summary and be sure to include a works cited listing in correct MLA format.  The summary should explain, in your words, the main points of the scholarly article.  We will discuss strategies for completing a successful summary in class.  (Note:  In this and in all written work you are expected to use the MLA format for documentation.  Also, when you are looking for databases, I recommend “Proquest,” “Expanded Academic,” and “JSTOR.”)
