Student Testing
The federal government has indicated that it will not waive the requirement that States administer standardized summative testing as part of accountability requirements under ESEA (see: https://www.michigan.gov/mde/0,4615,7-140-5373_6526_6551-538752--,00.html (Links to an external site.)).
What barriers do districts face in implementing testing requirements in the current environment? How might different districts which serve different populations of students be disproportionately impacted by these requirements? What potential impact may this have on district/school accountability?
