To obtain any points, the student must complete/submit the activity on Canvas by the posted deadline in the syllabus. It will not be accepted late under any circumstances. Each paragraph should have at least 6-8 sentences. They should be well thought out, organized, clearly presented and checked for basic spelling and grammar. I am looking to see that you fully understand and can apply the course concepts. Helpful suggestions when submitting work: 1. Capitalize words correctly. Capitalize proper nouns. Capitalize the word “I”. Capitalize the first word of the sentence. 2. Use proper punctuation at the end of your sentence. 3. Write in complete sentences. 4. Indent the first sentence of a paragraph. 5. Remember you are not sending a text message. You are submitting academic work. 6. Spelling and Grammar checks are your friends. REMEMBER…. MINIMAL EFFORT EQUALS MINIMAL GRADE (20-30 POINTS). A minimum response that addresses the assessement usually will receive 21-30 points (C/B) IF YOU WISH TO EARN UPTO THE MAXIMUM POINTS, YOU MUST SHOW MAXIMUM EFFORT AND MASTERY OF THE COVERED CONCEPTS AND MATERIALS. You can include personal experiences and outside research. (Basic grading rubric: Below Expectations: 0-10 points, Needs Improvement: 11-20 points, Meets Expectations: 21- 30 points, Exceeds Expectations: 31-40 points.) 1 ptsQuestion 10

I have received and read a copy of the syllabus for this course. I understand this syllabus is a contract between me and my instructor, and that my continued enrollment in this course constitutes my agreement to abide by the terms of this syllabus.

I understand that all quizzes, tests, written assignments, online assignments, online submissions and class activities have due dates and completion deadlines. I understand there are no excused or unexcused reasons for missing a quiz or an exam or written work. If I have a documented emergency for missing one of the above (i.e; accident report, court documentation, or doctor’s note), I MUST contact the instructor via e-mail or phone the day of the missed quiz, exam, or written work in order to be considered for a make-up on a date and time determined by the instructor.

I understand that in my papers/assignments and other course work everything must be written entirely in my own words, properly paraphrased and cited. I also understand that the all assignments must be independent work, and sharing or collaborating is not allowed (unless otherwise noted).

I understand plagiarism and/or submitting non-independent work is a serious academic offense, and the minimum penalty for plagiarism is a zero for the assignment, and may result in an F for the course.

I understand that respect and common courtesy toward the professor and classmates is expected, and students may be referred to the Dean of Students for a violation of any class policy for disruptive or disrespectful behavior.

I understand that using a cell phone (including texting, talking) is strictly prohibited during class and the instructor may immediately dismiss me from class if this happens. (Applies to on campus courses.)

I have read, understand, and agree to all of the rules and expectations covered in the course syllabus and student contract.

I understand and agree to abide by the deadlines and terms set forth in the syllabus. derIstand and agree to abide by the deadlines and terms set forth in the syllabus.

I do not agree to abide by the deadlines and terms set forth in the syllabus. I do understand that not abiding by the deadlines and terms will have consequences and may negativity effect my grade.
