Plato provided an overview of the ideal city and its people. It’s almost utopic, but much of it was in form, rather than application.

Aristotle discusses the benefits and disadvantages of different governmental systems, including timocracy, oligarchy, tyranny, and democracy. How does he view democracy, and why? Does our democracy, as we practice it today, support his findings, or not?

Having in mind that education, truth, collective responsibility, the make-up and abilities of the people, and justice play roles in how government works, or doesn’t.
