As we have learned this chapter figuring out our identities and who we are can be somewhat difficult. There is so much noise in adolescence from both outside perspectives and from ourselves. That being said it can be difficult to differentiate our true selves from our false selves. Being inauthentic of who we are can cause us to be less content with ourselves. It can create a big barrier between finding our true emotions.
