Resorting to Terrorism

Describe how macroenvironmental (political/economic/social) factors, terrorist groups dynamics, and individual psychological factors all may contribute to the decision to resort to terrorism. Do you believe one set of these factors is more influential than the others? If so, why? Does the choice to employ suicide terrorism, as Pape described, fit within Crenshaw’s framework? Do you believe there are additional factors, not cited by Crenshaw or Pape, the drive some to resort to terrorism?
