After reviewing this week’s readings regarding the Nutrition Care Process (NCP), incl. nutrition assessment parameters, clinical S&S (signs and symptoms of disease) and Evidence-based Practice, we will be compiling 'assessment questions' that you would ask your client.  Since there is a 99.9% chance that you will already have your client's age, height, and weight data as well as chief complaint (CC) available to you, think about 'what else do you need to know', 'why that's important' and 'what can you do to make thew right decision' in your nutrition care plan?

  1. Identify two (2) important questions that you would ask your client in order to conduct a Nutrition Assessment.
  2. For each question, provide at least one (1) evidence-based justification 'why the question is essential for a proper Nutrition Assessment'; don't forget to cite and reference your sources (preferably from peer-reviewed scientific articles). 
  3. After asking 'your 2 important questions', what other information would you like to gather and 'why'?
