Assignment 1: Research Topics

Thus far in the course, you have learned what the different steps/stages of the consulting process are, what it means to be a consultant, what challenges consultants face, how to manage and implement change, and what employee engagement is.

On the basis of your organizational leadership experience and the information accumulated in this class:

1. Identify three possible dissertation research topics related to the subject of the course.
2. Discuss some of the problems or opportunities that each of these three studies addresses.
3. Offer specific suggestions for solving any problems and/or expanding upon any opportunities identified. Support these suggestions with a rationale, research sources, and/or examples from your experience in teams/groups.

• Your response should rely upon at least two sources from professional literature. This may include the Argosy University online library resources, relevant textbooks, peer-reviewed journal articles, and websites created by professional organizations, agencies, or institutions (.edu, .org, or .gov). Write in a clear, concise, and organized manner; demonstrate ethical scholarship in accurate representation and attribution of sources (i.e., APA format); and use accurate spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
