Contextual Issues of Missions for the American Churches: Opportunities and Challenges”. The

contexts of American churches differ from state to state, region to region, and city to city. You

need to determine what mission’s issues are both challenges and opportunities for your church

to engage in the mission of God. The following are what I see from a distance.

• Immigrations issues

• Economic issues such as poverty, homelessness, hunger, joblessness, etc.

• Culture

• Religion

• Secularism

• Lack of training in the church

• Lack of budget to do missions.

• Sex trafficking, etc.
