As a nursing student in CCN, you will be required to give presentations as a part of various clinical courses. In this assignment, you will demonstrate your PowerPoint skills by following the guidelines given in your textbook.
If you are unfamiliar with PowerPoint, you may refer to Microsoft's Basic Tasks in PowerPoint and chapter 7 of your course textbook.
- Review the rubric for grading criteria located in the right menu.
- Use the information from the Case Study [DOCX] that you used in your Excel assignment.
- Prepare a 6-10 slide presentation (slide limit includes title slide and reference slide) for submission to the chief nursing officer at your hospital.

The title of presentation should reflect content of presentation. (0-4 points) The remainder of the presentation should include data from your Excel file: the mean age of the patients (0.5 points), the distribution of males and females ( 1 point), percentage of diagnoses do the patients have (0.5 points), how many of the patients are on Medicare (0.5 points), and “caregiver present” from your Case Study instructions (0.5 points).0 - 7 - Formatting
6 possible points (20%)Possible PointsUse appropriate text size and font type. Text should be large enough to read, and all text should be visible when slide is viewed in slideshow. Text should not be off the screen in any view.0 - 6 - Design
11 possible points (36.67%)Possible PointsLAYOUT (0 - 4 points) Text should all be clear and easy to read. For example, there must be appropriate use of contrast between text and background. (2 points) Slides must have a colored background or a design template. Shows creativity in the overall design and layout. (2 points) EFFECTS (0 -5 points) At least one slide must have transition effects (2 points), and one slide must have build effects. (2 points) You may apply both these effects to the same slides, or these effects can be applied to different slides in your presentation. When effects are used, the effects should appear in logical order. For example, the title at the top of the slide should appear before a list, or the list should appear from top to bottom.
