The Old and the New - Sergei Eisenstein clip (see you tube clip below)

This clip really gets the sublime of technology...It's from the silent film by Sergei Eisenstein's The Old and The New (also known as the General Line) from 1929. It's a silent film. Yet you can see how Eisenstein uses montage to show this concept of high modernism around the sublime of technology. In this case...a  rural community is brought a mechanical cream seperator.
