Found Poetry Assignment

Create a poem from a source that already exists in the world: an article from a magazine or newspaper, a blog, the comments section on a website, a government report or website, a short story or novel, a warning label, product packaging, textbook, etc. However, you may not use song lyrics or words from other poems. To create your poem, cut out unnecessary words and phrases to highlight certain ideas. Feel free to repeat and rearrange phrases, but try not to add any of your own ideas even though you may want to add your own conjunctions to make it flow together.

Your poem should be about twenty lines or longer and can have a title of your own invention, or a title that is taken from the source material. Please include the name of the original source on your paper when you turn it in.
