Payment Systems- Class exercise
Class,
Hello everyone I hope week seven is going well and that your summer was good. It’s all about over and I am looking forward to week eight and moving on to my last two classes. This week we are discussing payment methods and a company of our choice.
Select an company and a payment method. Discuss the advantages and disadvantages.
To be honest I really want to just go PayPal because they are one of the biggest but instead I choose Due. Due is an end to end payment processor that can deal with the whole process for taking a payment and requesting one as well. One of the advantages of this is it worldwide use capability, it has over a hundred languages built in and works well with currency exchanges and the taxes. It also works with international credit cards which can be an issue. The fees are low and out right with no hidden setups or cross this amount we charge more. It also stores very little data and is encrypted end to end meaning not data breach or data mining on their part. Now the disadvantages are a little different. In a lot of cases you want to go with a big name processor due to the fact that they have a lot of functionality and capability to help with issues and fit for you if there is an issue. Due is a smaller company and that comes with some risk in that area. You have to decide if certain features are worth the risk of certain things.
