Effective Management Using the P-O-L-C

(PLANNING, ORGANIZING, LEADING, and CONTROLLING)

Process

1. Students are assigned to teams of up to six students. 2. Each team represents a community entity (business, agency, company, organization, industry)

3. Using the P-O-L-C Framework, each team will assign a member to each dimension of the P-O-L-C. 4. Working both individually and as a group, a report will be developed that addresses how the entity engages in

planning, organizing, leading, and controlling in order to be effective and efficient. 5. Each group member will develop a three-page report on the assigned dimension that addresses the

subcomponents in the chart below. The individual reports will be combined into an 18-page full report on the P-O- L-C of the community entity.
