Imagine that you are an IT manager for a relatively small firm that was considering adopting a server-based database management system but knew that you could start with a fairly basic and bare-boned version of a server-based DBMS. What things would you take into consideration when considering whether to go with an open-source DBMS like MySQL or an Express edition of a proprietary DBMS like SQL Server?
