Just shy of one-third (30%) of female homicide victims were killed by an intimate partner.  While criminologists may focus on what drives men to kill their intimate partners, victimology focuses on what women should be aware of and how to avoid such partners. Sadly, many women have a history of prior violence with their partner.  Explain with specificity and example the evolutionary AND the situational factors that drive a man to murder his intimate partner as well as the reasons a partner would stay in a relationship with someone demonstrating violence.
