For licensure and certification, all counselors-in-training may be required to take a professional exam, with many states requiring counselors to take the NCE for licensure. School counselors who wish to become licensed also benefit from preparing for and taking the NCE. Indeed, you and some of your colleagues may have already taken the NCE, while others are scheduled to take the exam in the near future. This week, you will identify a test preparation resource, in addition to Encyclopedia of Counseling (Rosenthal, 2017), that you would like to share with your colleagues.
If you have not yet taken the NCE:
· Identify a test preparation resource
· Utilize the resource

|
· Post your review in the Discussion Forum. · If you have not yet taken the NCE, provide both evidence of your utilization and a critique of the resource. · If you have already taken the NCE, critique the identified resources in terms of how useful they were when you were preparing for the NCE. · In your critique, make sure that you address · Aspects of the resource that you found beneficial · Limitations of the resource as a preparation tool for the NCE. |
