Describe the two branches of juvenile corrections and identify their major differences. Critically analyze the current state of knowledge about “what works” in juvenile corrections, integrating material from this module (or previous modules) into your review.

The Annie E. Casey Foundation’s (2011, required model reading) publication about the effects of juvenile incarceration asks the question “is it really safe to reduce juvenile confinement”?  Please answer this question using empirical support drawn from the readings.
