Welcome to Week 4 of Modern Mathematics. This module deals with the basics of sets. So, what does that entail?
Our focus will be on how to interpret a set of objects, whether they are tangible or not, and work with that set. What are subsets of that set? What happens when we combine it with another set? We will also be building sets and then doing various operations on them.
Investigate Basic Set Operations

Investigate Venn Diagrams and Sets

Find a game that involves set theory. It may be a board game or an online game. Find someone to play with you. After sever rounds discuss how the game used set theory.
