Managing the Purchasing Function
The purchasing function is not discussed in any detail in our textbook. However, it is important to cover it in this course. Find a policy or other document that discusses purchasing (procurement) rules for cities (Search: “city purchasing rules”) and review it.
- Briefly describe the public bidding process.
- What is a “request for proposal” and how can that be used in lieu of closed bids?
- How can public safety managers maintain accountability in this function within their agencies?
I have attached the two references that are needed for this post. If it can be completed before five hours from now DUE DATE TODAY 10/4/17. This is a discussion post not a APA paper.
