Learning by Grading

One of the best ways of learning how to do something is to watch and assess another person doing it.  So this week, you are going to get a chance to play teacher and grade an Informative speech.

Here's what I'd like you to do:

1. Download and print out the speech Rubric and Checklist form  Speech Rubric.pdf  Download Speech Rubric.pdf

2. Watch the INFORMATIVE speech  below:

3. While watching the speech, please fill out the Speech Rubric and Checklist, making certain to check the appropriate box as you encounter (or don't encounter) each element of the speech.

4. Take a picture of your completed checklist (you will be attaching it to the post so we can all see your work)

5. For your discussion post this week,  please give the speaker a letter grade (A -F) and tell the class WHY you graded them the way you did.  Be specific in your explanation and point to 3 separate things that happened in the speech which influenced your grade.

6. Before you post your discussion attach the photo of your completed checklist to the post
