Strengths Sharing for Teams

TEAM ACTIVITY

The objective of this team-building exercise is to explore the results of individual strengths assessments to deepen understanding, appreciation, and collaboration among team members.

HIGH5 strengths assessment results for each participant (previously completed, can be done with free or full report)

• Deepens understanding and application of individual strengths. • Facilitates meaningful conversations and collaboration based on employee unique strengths. • Enhances problem-solving abilities by leveraging a diverse range of strengths within the team. • Encourages a strengths-focused mindset, promoting personal growth and development. • Promotes team cohesion and mutual support.

1. Setup and introduction: • Gather all team members in a comfortable and relaxed setting. • Remind participants that today’s activity will focus on exploring and celebrating top 5 strengths. • Emphasize the importance of understanding and leveraging individual strengths collectively.

2. Strengths Sharing (15 minutes): • Ask each participant to briefly share their top 5 strengths from their HIGH5 report. • Encourage them to explain why they resonate with 1 or 2 of those particular strengths and how they believe

using those strengths contributes to their and the team’s success.

3. Strength Exploration (15 minutes): • Brainstorm and discuss examples of how each strength could be applied to solve a specific work-related

challenge or improve a team process. • Encourage participants to think creatively and share personal experiences related to their strengths. • Explore the opportunities for collaboration that arise from combining different strengths of team members.

4. Reflection and Action Planning (10 minutes): • Allow participants to share their observations, insights, and the impact of the activity on their understanding

of their own strengths and those of their teammates. • Discuss practical ways in which team members can leverage their strengths to support each other, enhance

team performance, and achieve common goals. • Encourage participants to set individual and collective action plans to apply their strengths in their daily work.

5. Wrap-up (5 minutes): • Reinforce the importance of leveraging strengths and fostering a culture of collaboration within the team. • Encourage ongoing discussions and exploration of strengths in future team interactions.
