Overview

In this module, you will examine the dynamics of group decision-making and how to build successful teams. Building a successful team is about finding the right mix of people and professional skills. This will lend to successful project management and healthcare outcomes. It is the work of the leader to build the team. Evidence-based practice outcomes are driven by productivity, patient outcomes, and the difference that the team's work makes. Leading a team is not easy, and teams can have bad leaders and toxic followers, so consider how you, as the leader, can ensure you keep your team on track for success. Create a culture of a caring community and maintain open communication. Remember, it is possible to transform a culture, and when this happens, it is inspiring!

Journal Question:

Drawing on your experiences and readings from this module, share how you intend to build your team to deliver a successful DNP project. How will your team impact each phase of your DNP project, and what role will each team member play? If things go astray, how will you provide constructive criticism to get your project back on track?
