The objective of this assignment is to ensure each student demonstrates sufficient understanding of Criminology and theories related to the causes of delinquency. 

The final project / Narrated PowerPoint requires completion of a critically evaluative research paper on a notorious criminal or criminal event. Ideas can include serial offenders, mass-murders or major crime sprees. The only requirement is that the event be well documented regionally, if not nationally. The PowerPoint should include a synopsis of the event(s), what school of thought or theory was represented by the suspect or event, and how society has dealt with the issue. Students should identify if there were identified signs or deviant behavior that could have alerted society to the impending crimes. The bible should be cross-referenced if applicable to your thoughts. This presentation should be no more than 10 minutes in length with an abstract slide in APA format. The PowerPoint must show evidence of research that goes beyond Internet websites and class textbook. Wikipedia is not permitted.
