Informative essay

dunlap12

The assignment is to write an informative essay on a topic of your choosing that incorporates three good sources of information, and uses MLA style citations. Remember, the goal (or assignment) of the essay is to be informative. A reader should get something from reading the essay. That means narrowing the topic to something that can be covered in a meaningful way in an essay length format. Trying to cover overly broad topics virtually guarantees the essay will not achieve its informative goal. For example, if the topic of the essay is Abraham the essay will end up giving the most general overview of his life, listing things most readers already know because, as one of our greatest presidents, we have heard the basic story of his life over and over. To be meaningful the essay would have to focus on a very specific aspect of his life or his presidency that might actually be informative and interesting. We saw the same in the entrepreneur essay. Way too broad of topic, way too general of information, and not informative. Just bringing up a topic like business taxes and saying obvious things, common knowledge things about it is not informative.  YOU CAN WRITE ABOUT VACCINES AND POLIO DISEASE THAT IS LONGER AROUND BECAUSE OF THE VACCINATION
