An important theme throughout the semester has been modern art's concern to reconnect art with life, to make art responsive and relevant to the modern world. In 1952 critic Harold Rosenberg wrote that Action Painting broke down every distinction between art and life. Pop art and Neo-Dada extends this interest in unique ways.
