Goal Setting Assignment

During the course of this semester, we will explore several topics pertinent to your success here at ASU. For this paper, please identify and explain 4 goals you have set for yourself while in college. Your paper should include 2 short-term goals and 2 long-term goals.

If you are a freshman or sophomore, think about milestones you hope to pass by graduation. If you are an upper classman, feel free to write about goals you have accomplished so far and your hopes for the future. Write about why these goals are important to you and what steps you will take to achieve them. (How do they reflect the values that you identified were important to you when we met for class on Wednesday, August 23?)

Possible Ideas:

· Academic goals: earning a certain GPA, being more organized, etc.

· Personal goals: joining a club or organization, developing healthy habits, etc.

· Professional goals: finding an internship, networking, etc.

Format:

· Typed 2-4 pages in length (at least 2 pages, double spaced), font: Times New Roman 12 point.
