Respond to the following:

The 2001 attacks against the U.S. caught the country somewhat unaware and unprepared. Reviewing the documentation and the after-action reports pertaining to the 9/11 attacks, assess and analyze what the indicators and signposts were leading up to those attacks that were missed or overlooked. In your opinion, (supported by research from textbooks, reports, Web sites, and journal articles), what could the government have done if they had read those indicators and signposts to deter or lessen the impact of the 2001 attacks?
