Ethical Reflection Assignment Instructions

Overview

This assignment requires you to write a 500-600 reflection paper on what you’ve learned in this course by identifying a moral issue related to your career field and determining how ethics can help you navigate that moral issue. Format should be 12pt, Times New Roman font and in one of the three major writing styles (MLA, APA, or Turabian). A template will be provided.

Instructions

Your reflection paper should be divided into four parts and must meet the minimum word count for each section (not including citations, bibliography).

1. Describe one prevalent moral issue in your chosen career field. Why is this issue important to people in your profession? Minimum 100 words

2. Cite at least two recent articles (within the last ten years) that are related to this issue in your career field. What do these articles reveal about the ethical challenges and/or dilemmas you might face as a professional? Explain. Minimum 200 words

3. How can the ethics help you approach this issue? Minimum 200 words

4. Bibliography

You will be penalized for falling short or exceeding the word count. This is a university-level writing assignment and therefore it must be carefully proofread, free of grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors. Do not use slang, emoticons, or abbreviations (as if you are texting or sending an email to a friend).

You are expected to cite at least two external sources in your essay. These external sources can include books, journal articles, periodicals, web articles, and similar publications. You may use online sources, but DO NOT use websites such as Wikipedia, online dictionaries, online encyclopedias, and blogs as these do not count as academic sources and should not be used. Biblical references are encouraged but will not count as an academic source.
