Essay 3 is a COMPARISON / CONTRAST exercise on two stories by Kate Chopin, "The Storm" and "The Story of an Hour." I suggest you focus on the two main female characters in the stories, Calixta and Louise. Keep in mind, you essay will reflect SIMILARITES and DIFFERENCES between the two characters (or the stories if you decide to go that way). Attached is a chart of similarities and differences between Calixta and Louise. The chart is similar to the one you did for Roald Dahl's "A Man from the South" and "The Landlady" (Homework 10). You can use the information on the chart to write your essay. You can find more information on Comparison and Contrast (and examples) in your textbook (6th Edition), pp 1188-1195.
