Use the steps of the writing process to compose a clearly and correctly written, effectively organized and structured essay about ONE of the stories or poems posted in CANVAS.  You may engage the written text by raising questions, making observations, analyzing, responding, or springboarding from the story to discuss some aspect of your personal experience; or you may use a combination of these approaches.  Use the traditional essay structure with an introduction that identifies the title and the author, establishes a context and a sharply focused thesis; a body that develops or elaborates on the thesis, with specific examples from the text provided to support ideas, and an effective conclusion that reemphasizes the idea of the thesis.
