ENG 1021

Choose an issue you genuinely care about.  Using the approach we practiced in class, analyze your issue from three relevant contexts; these will become the three body paragraphs of your analysis.  The goal is to try to stand back from your topic and think about your topic scientifically and globally rather than setting out to argue the point from your gut.  Rough drafts of the analysis are due on Wednesday.   The final analysis should be five paragraphs and two and a half to three pages in length.  You may incorporate a visual, but you must meet the minimum length requirement without the visual.  Your visual should be the only outside source you incorporate.

Please consider the list of contexts when examining your topic.  All papers must follow the syllabus paper policy (12 point font, Times or Arial, double spaced, regular margins) and be turned in on time to receive credit.  You may wish to revisit Bloom's taxonomy on critical thinking and consider the list of contexts as a lens through which to frame your responses. No outside sources, please --- just think deeply before responding.
