Planning to deal with the media

In this assignment, we want to explore examples of effective and ineffective techniques used in dealing with the media. Identify a real-world example of media management that either went well or that did not go well (could be in a disaster or another crisis situation), and prepare an approximately 250-word paper in your own words (use APA Style for reference citations for your sources). What was handled well or what went wrong with the organizations' or response interaction with the media? Identify at least one good practice/lesson or a way those involved could have improved the media interaction; please be as realistic as possible (note that you cannot control the media in all the ways you might want to). Address how crisis communication planning or use of ESF 15, well-trained PIOs, or a JIS, for example, might improve working with the media in the incident.
