This week's article dives a bit deeper into determinants of pay for women vs men, attempting to better understand the gender pay gap. Early career college graduates are mostly paid the same regardless of gender. Over time the gap between men and women emerges and ultimately becomes very significant. What do you think of this analysis? The authors of the studies cited in the article claim motherhood is a major cause. Is this argument convincing, why/why not? As a policy maker, would you try to deal with this issue? If yes, what would you do and why? If no, why not?
