Beginning April 9th, PBS will begin airing a new 4-part documentary series called Reconstruction. For this assignment, watch one of the 4 episodes. New episodes will air weekly. 

After viewing the documentary, write a 2 page response addressing the following questions:

What was the main focus of the episode you watched? What is the documentarian’s perspective/what kind of story are they trying to tell about Reconstruction? How is the period framed? Whose stories are centered? What is your biggest takeaway from the episode? Do you think this is an effective way to educate people about Reconstruction?
