Elderhood

Elderhood is the period of life beyond which most people expect to live. In 2010, 6% of the United States population was 75 and older.

For this Discussion, you will reflect on the development of the elderly.

Post by Day 2 at least 2 challenges (either a biological, neurological, physiological, environmental, or systemic challenge) faced by the elderly where the strategies of earlier stages of life may not be adequate to continue on a path of successful adaptation? Identify at least 1 developmentally relevant counseling treatment or intervention you might apply when working through these challenges.
