discussion about do the right thing

WEEK 3

This week, while you are working on your first response papers about Character and Do the Right Thing, I thought we could actually have a critical discussion about what the "right thing" is within the narrative (diegesis), and outside the narrative (non-diegesis). What characters, if any, are doing the right thing? Is the phrase ever used or alluded to in the film. By who? In what context?
